The Swiss Quantum Winter School and Swiss Quantum Days 2026 Conference will take place at the Hotel Terrace in Engelberg.

The Winter School is from 26-28 January.

The Swiss Quantum Days Conference is from 28-30 January.

Accommodation

Hotel Terrace

All Winter School participants and most Conference participants will stay at the Hotel Terrace.

The easiest path to get from the train station to the hotel is via a lift (“Eingang Hotel Terrace (Lift)” on Google Maps), this is a 4 minute walk.

Please note that your room may only be ready at the hotel’s standard check-in time of 16:00. Your luggage can be stored in the luggage room.

H+ Hotel

Some Conference participants will stay at the H+ Hotel, a 5-minute walk from the Conference venue of the Hotel Terrace. These people have received an email informing them of their accommodation.

The easiest path transfer between the two hotels is via a lift (“Eingang Hotel Terrace (Lift)” on Google Maps).

Organizers will check these participants in at Hotel H+ and distribute the Room Keys during the coffee break at Hotel Terrace. Do not try to check in yourself as your room keys will already be with the organizers. Luggage can be stored in the luggage room of the Hotel Terrace.

Travel

The easiest way to come to Engelberg is by train from Luzern.

For the Swiss Quantum Days Conference group, the train from Luzern to Engelberg on Wednesday January 28 at 11:10 will have extra cars. The first cars of the train (sector A) is reserved for the SQD participants. For departure, there are extra cars reserved on the train from Engelberg to Luzern at 13:02, which will be located at the frontmost train composition in sector C.
